Jimmi Hendrix
Eric Clapton
Jeff Beck
Jimmy Page
Stevie Ray Vaughn
............and frankly, I think thats final!
Bob Dylan
Cavett-..well when you mention the National Anthem and talk about playin it in any unorthodox way, you immediately get hate mail....
Hendrix- I didnt think it was unorthodox, I thought it was beautifull.....but there you go
I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.

WOW tough question I'd go with 1) Hendrix
2) Eric Johnson
3) Duane Allman
4) Brian May
5) Gary Hoey I met him in person at a music shop what a great guy. Otherwise Stevie Ray Vaughn would be there. One of my all time favorite riffs is from the song; Who's That Lady by the Isley Brothers if you ever get a chance to listen to it you might enjoy it.

This question seems to pop up in the forums frequently haha. It is very broad and difficulf to answer because so many guitarists are good in different ways. but if i had to pick five of all time it would be as follows (in no particular order):
Michael Angelo Batio (as far as intrumental rock goes, this guy puts vai and satriani to shame, check out his song no boundaries)
Slash(for obvious reasons)
Joe Satriani
Jimmi Page
Steve Vai
But there are so many others, a top 20 would be hard. haha.

I'm old school,1. Jerry Reed, 2.Chet Atkins,3.Kenny Burrell, 4, Wes Montgomery,5,Les Paul. I also enjoy Andre Segovia Carlos Montoya a lot of the classical guitarists.Any one with a three finger style.
