So my teacher comes in and I show him the tabs to a song I ve been tryin to get ( You Dont Love Me by Allman Brothers Band). He first tells me he never has heard the song before but proceeds to play it without missin a beat. Asks me to play it for him on the stereo and in half a minute tells me to turn it off and plays the song on through without hearing the solo he plugs one in. Starts showing me how to play it, which, mind you includes picking patterns, efficient picking, smooth strumming, time, he even sings the notes ( du- bah, du bah du bah)..................and after all that I STILL get stuck, mute the wrongs notes, go ahead of the pace, pick like a Chinese song......aaargh!!!
The guy is sooo patient, but I lack it with myself, anyway, that was today's lesson.............i go cry now, LOL
Bob Dylan
Cavett-..well when you mention the National Anthem and talk about playin it in any unorthodox way, you immediately get hate mail....
Hendrix- I didnt think it was unorthodox, I thought it was beautifull.....but there you go
I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.
