So while looking around for a new guitar, I saw this Ibanez Iceman:

and thought, wow that looks like a good deal.
So my questions is; Does anyone have any info on this guitar (It's an IC300 if you can't get through the link)?

Holy crap I logged in, researched the specs on that guitar, typed out this long thing, and timed out before I submitted it. Here's the abbreviated version.

Specs:

22 frets
25' scale
Body: Basswood
Fretboard: Rosewood
Neck: Bolt-on
Pickups: AH2 (Bridge), AH1 (Neck)
Binding: Chreme (body, neck and headstock)

All the specs are either good or come down to preference. The short of the good things are that 22 frets mean the neck pickup is in a better position for good tones. Ibanez bolt-on neck joints are the best neck joints I've played. Being a bolt-on the guitar will get most of its tone from the body wood. Basswood is the preference of players like Vai and Satch, but in the end it's preference. It's certainly one of the top three woods and there are a lot of worse choices. Neck binding is great for the fretboard; it helps keep it healthy. The edges of the fretboard (open grain) is where moisture is the most free to escape. Binding helps with that. Arguably neck binding helps keep the fretboard from shrinking (it happens, trust me) in dry environments.

Ibanez pickups suck in my opinion. They're dry, lifeless, and the polar opposite of my beloved EMGz. They're also very easy to change should you not like them. If you can solder, you can change pickups.

All in all this Iceman is a great buy at $200. The specs are good and they look awesome. Have a play, if it feels good go for it (don't forget to thoroughly inspect the axe and make sure there are no blemishes that you can't live with).

looks like a nice axe. my one thought is how does this guitar feel in your lap or when you are standing if you play standing. in other words does the shape of this guitar accomodate you playing style. if it is comfortable to you and it calls out your name when you play it then it is the guitar for you. if not continue your search.

Every rule has an exception. Especially this one.
if my calculations are correct SLINKY + ESCULATOR = EVERLASTING FUN
