1st finger on G3 string 1ST fret & 2nd finger on A5 string 2nd fret

you should look at virtual guitar & chordbook right on thissite it will show you all the chord fingering

the fingering you describe is for Em(maj7)

or you could just use tone finger on the G3 string 1st fret

"+5" also means "aug5" or "#5"...here are two ways to finger the chord at the nut:

...that's the fingering for E Major 7th (EM7) not E7th augmented (E7+).

...did you possibly mean X X 2 1 1 0?  which is the fingering for Eaug (or E+) without a dominant 7th note.

the song calls for E7+
