Hey cricket

Just got done listening to this one. Liked the rhythm pattern you got going on it. It would have been nicer if the volume was upped more, but I did like what you were playing

my own thoughts influence the way I play my guitar and write songs

Good job guitar geek ! Looks to me  like you're a future rock star so keep at it. Great left hand finger independence...can't wait till my own becomes that good. What sort of SG is that you're playing? Thinking about getting one sometime. Oh and great take on 'SOTW'...they say that's the first song every new guitarist just has to learn.

Luck !

Well i have to be honest guiar geek, i din't know who bfmv is but i do now. Looked around and found this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2I0ulTZWXA

Hope it's ok to post that in your thread. I like almost everything about the vid but i don't advocate violence to resolve issues with ppll...yep, i know...it's only a song and vid. Do you have a tab for 'Waking The Demon' by bfmv? I wouldn't mind giving some of that a shot...

Cheers,

GuitarZen

http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/b/bulle … r3_tab.htm
i'm able to play the intro, verses, and some of the chorus. it's not as hard as i thought it would be. wish ya luck, man.

I wasn't meaning anything on your part guitar geek...only on a small bit of the content...i was on the bullied boy's side all the way...he had to do what he had to do.

I looked at the tab but i can't do that tuning on my guitar. I'm wondering if you tune your sg like it shows? It looks pretty easy but i doubt it would sound like anything in standard tuning. Presumably so anyway.  Thanks lots for the link to the tab guitar geek.

Cheers,

ya my sg can tune down really far so i tune it down all the way to play it. i tried it on standard tuning just for the fun of it, but there are several parts in the song where you'd have to play an open string (even some in the solo i believe) so to play the whole song in standard tuning would be impossible. still fun to learn the main riff tho. fast and helps with alternate picking practice.

Oh ok, well i was thinking that tuning was 'up' in tone rather than down...thanks guitar geek. Yeah, i noticed you're alternate picking skills and the bfmv tab would be great practice there. I'll try it in standard tuning anyway.

Thats great Crick..

And I would advise anyone who views this vid to pay close attention to the "little" finger and the "thumb" as they are always in the proper places..  IE: Little finger not folded back into or tword palm of hand, and Thumb not choking the neck restricting movment of the hand..

Good one Crick.....

Groeten f-v
