This is the place we can build a collection of inspiring guitar video links, post in your favourites here.
Ok,
Somebody has to get this started.....
This is a link to a Yes tune called "To Be Over" (may not be everyones type of music) but a good tune. The reason I bring this up is the 2nd link I will give you will show some of insperation for my interest in playing an acoustic as well as electrics.. You need not listen to the whole thing (there is no vid) but just enough to get the gist of the tune, then check the 2nd link which is a live solo version on acoustic only.... The orig studio job in the 1st link was done with a peddle steel, an electric balalyka, and a Gib L-5 (I may be wrong on the intruments, but close enough for this example) Anyway this is the studio link:

And this is the live acoustic version:

Hope you enjoy, and maybe get a bit inspired as well

Well you know i've heard Steve Howe on that vid before and i still say that piece is very inspiring...i can dream about that kind of left/right hand
finger independence...thanks Jag, good first post in the new topic.

Keiko, Synster Gates is a little on the slow side for most of our tastes here in chordbook...but oh well, yeah...he plays ok.
GuitarZen
Well thats one of my heros.... i was gonna do Hendrix but....yeah.
We all have different tastes here
Gotcha Keiko..Synster plays well...I think Jimi Hendrix would train you more realistically though to start with.

synyster gates is my face guitarist =P
LOL GZ =P
i'm well tempted to try to learn that (if it's possible lol)
Heres another that caught my attention whilst surfing around...
Having learned the original version of "Classical Gas" by Mason Williams back in the 70's (and long since forgot it) I happened apon this guy. He took this classic guitar tune and had fun with it. He has also done this tune in its entirety, and did a very impressive job at it. Check him out. He will either inspire you, or make you just want to give up. (dont be discouraged, be inspired). With practice, anything is possable.

i have seen this before but i likeed it again! i wonder did he do the guitar stuff for the movie august rush? it is a very similar sound and the style that the boy imulates is the same kind of slap hammer beat the life out of your guitar tech.
Normally this guy is not inspiring..but this for some reason just the way that he set the delay perfectly to create thirds and it just sound perfectly like a baroque piece.

Here's another Anna Vidovic video i found...not seen this one before. The left hand work is just amazing to me and Anna's focus on the fretboard and her fingers while her right hand has it's own mind. This inspires. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QMPHOYiAjCM
