What would be some good choices for replacing the bass strings on a 1985 Fender Katana Bass guitar?
Welcome to chordbook badgeno12, well since you don't have a reply, i'll suggest going with the type of strings
that were on your bass from the factory. I would think it would be hard to go wrong if you restrung with originals.

as long as you use the same string gauge (thickness) it doesnt really matter the brand thats just preference.
you can use different gauge as well but it can throw off your inontation (your notes up the neck with be out of pitch) but that can e fixed by just about any guitar repairman or guitarist with experience in setting inontation (yes it is hard at first)
