Does anyone have a Loop Station or a stompbox Loop Station?
I've been wanting to get one so I can record a chord pattern and then play scales over it. How are they? Are they worth the $$$? How reliable are they?
...while I don't OWN one (yet), I have tried several at the music store, and the only complaint I've found is that most either have a noticable "click" or "stutter" or slight timing waver at the point of "loop-around." Other than that, they work well.
...I'm thinking about getting the BOSS unit, strickly for it's lower price.
my wife repeats things to me over and over and over,,, ,,, ,,,,

just got the digitech jamman looper/phraser today sitting in front of me going over the instructions now i,ll be doing a video with it soon
...I'd definitely be interested in hearing how well it works for you...especially, how "seamless" the moment of loop-back is (or not).
...this 'problem' has been a pet-peeve of mine since the days of spliced-tape and Gibson Echo-Plex units (late 50-60s).
Otm,
I'm interested also.. Since I have an old "Klempt" tape loop machine, and a "Roland" cartidge type.

lol Mort ... is she doing it in chorus mode?
Let us know how it works BullDog ... I'd like to compare it with the Boss Loop Station ... I play a lot of U2 and it's easier looping Edge's stuff and playing over it ... plus it's always handy to have one
A friend of mine is a dedicated looper, he said this.....
Mine is a Boomerang Plus, a "stompbox" looper with a single loop. I'm still waiting for the new three loop model (was six). If they can solve their apparently unsolvable software problem, it will be the dog's bollocks - but I'm not holding my breath anymore after waiting nearly five years.
Roland do the RC-50 which lacks the simplicity of the Boomerang but does have the coveted multiple loop capability. There's also the older single loop RC-20.
Gibson took over the Echoplex brand which also has multiple loops but is overpriced.
Digitech do a single looper at a reasonable price which sounds pretty good.
If I wasn't so obsessed about the new Boomerang, I would probably get the RC-50 today.
cheers,
Strat
Thanks Strat ... I didn't know they made Loop Stations that do more than one loop ... now I might like at upgrading
