my first amp is a kustom lead II. I have recently moved on to a ibanez 150w tone blaster head with a marshal 1960A lead slant cab. But what boggles my mind is that all i can find out about the kustom since ive had it is
Kustom II Lead
The II Lead was Kustom's "Twin Twelve" and is a very serious amplifier.
It features 60 watts and two dual input channels with the following controls:
Channel 1 has Drive, Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble, Bright, Tremolo, Speed ,Depth and Reverb.
Channel 2 has Volume, Bass, Middle, Treble and Bright.
It has two 12" speakers, each with a 38 oz. magnet, 1 1/2" voice coil, 16 ohm speakers, 8 ohm cabinet.
H/W/D: 20" X 26" X 10 1/2" and weighs 64 pounds.
It is a good portable gigging amplifier for almost any professional situation.
I was wondering if anybody had more info or experience with the lead II.
And i also notice that i can't turn it up gradually its super soft then ridiculously loud after 2 and a half
can play with a full band just under 3 one the main volume

Civicstar,
Ya might consider changing the volume pots to "linear taper" pots of the same ohm value.. The amp more than likely has "audio taper" pots in it. Audio taper pots start out easy, then shoot up very fast. Linear taper pots are smooth from 0 up.

Hello 7guitarist7, have you checked pawn shops, ebay, craigs list and even your local paper? I've found all sorts of great gear that way. Not that i've bought all of it but i'm looking for specific things and stumble over good deals all the time in amps and guitars.

i use a 4x10 deville by fender it amounts to a meager 60 watts and you can barely hear it if your DEAF. this is the last amp i will ever need to own i believe. i have had it a year now and every time i kick it on the light shines against the wall and makes a little demon face thats how you know you got the right gear! it is a joy to play and i will never return to solid state again.
note that if you want metal distortion this is most likely not the amp for you but if you like smooth mellow warm guitar tones then all of the fender big tubes meet the bill.
also note that these amps have very sensitive volume controls IE. 1 is tolerable and 2 and above are for outside and large venue use. i compensate the volume with a volume pedal and a couple of other volume controls through the chain to tame down the raw power of the monster sound this thing can make.
if my calculations are correct SLINKY + ESCULATOR = EVERLASTING FUN
