i guess I was 15 when the Grand ole opry came to town, And I got to do a song, with one of my heros at the time. It was backstage , and they were warmin up,   We got to listen and I  watched the lead man to show me the riff, he handed me the guitar and showed me how to run the riff  and the singer jumped in and we played for 15 minutes before they went on.he told me I had the"heart".the rest is history. I've ha d a great ride as a picker.

There are probably many crazy things that happened over the years,  but the one that I remember best was wining the 7th grade talent show at school with a 3 piece band and an original song.  I was 13 and had been playing for about a year and a half or so..
