...yeah, mine are:
1) "Tele" guitar
2) "Gibson" guitar
3) "Ovation" guitar.
The manufactures were kind enough to name mine for me..
IE:
Fender
Ibanez
Epiphone
And one nameless adoptee Mandolin, I just call "electric mandolin.
My guitars are called: The Acoustic, The Electric, and THe Classical.

Woah !!!!!! Mine have those names too !!!!!! This is uncanny...
I only have ONE. BUT, at times I call it different names that are not repeatable!!! I probably should use those names for my fingers, though.
Under normal circumstances, when it's behaving, I just call it EPI.
Dean
Well i tried and tried to call her Baby...but she said her name was Taylor....

I guess anything that has value to me has names friends, family, my guitars i want to makes
feel as comfortable on me as my own hands feel. And i named my two main guitars after family
past and present. It also helps remind me that even though i can by new better stuff these ones
where there when i kept breaking G strings trying to re string it and Learning what a power chord
was.
and who doesn't have at least one no name brand guitar you found or
got for free or like 5 dollars at a yard sale and put work into.
that doesn't have a cool name like telecaster or gibson
gotta call it something more interesting then free guitar and yard sale
guitar.
I've had those and to be honest, i can't remember the brand names...i refer back to them as 'beaters' that i've gotten cheap or practically free. For that matter, i don't even remember what was written on the headstock of the $600 (1968 dollars) Gretsch F hole auditorium knock off i brought back from distant shores. I paid $26 for it back then and man was it beautiful. Din't name it though...traded it for a pickup truck in '72. I did name that though....called it 'old truck'.

i just posted one i finely got it done its a harmany, how many of those do you here about
I've thought about naming my guitar but it would feel kinda wrong to me since it never had a name all those years it wasn't mine. (It'd be different if I bought it but since I "knew" it all that time it doesn't feel like it needs a name...)
But I had my eye on this one guitar I wanted to save up for... I wanted to name it Black Jack (lol anime/manga reference 8D) but the next time I went to look at it it was gone... ;-;
Like many here I call my guitars by what they are. The Alexi, the LTD or the LP, the Rich or B.C. Rich, and the Ibanez.
I've never named a guitar since as we all know once you name a guitar it's yours forever. You can never get rid of it.
I do sometimes refer to my Mesa in the feminine however. As those who have played Mesa amps can tell you, if you turn a knob even a little bit the wrong way they'll bite your head off
.
don't think ill ever have the mesa experience unless i sell my
car for new equipment.
i just feel like the brand name is just a tittle. for example if you
where introducing a friend to another friend and say
hey friend this is my other friend.
or hey white guy this is my other friend mexican guy.
people name everything
i think your right! every thing should have a name!
mine are:
bass- boris
electric - doug
other electric - rich
-Mybass94
there you go mybass94
like your pass name you should post a picture
my cheap classical i got in the original cheap card-board-box at a flee market was only $20 (with strings!) and it plays great.
my friend named my guitar kevin
