As a Newbie, I'm still trying to get familiar with guitar terminologies.  I have heard the terms Dreadnaught, Parlor, Concert, Jumbo, etc.  How do these relate to each other?  Also, besides size, what else is unique to each type?  The reason is I'm still looking for a smaller used guitar to use as a "traveler".  My Epiphone PR350E is my prized possession and I hate to take it on the road with me when I travel.  Also, does anyone know what category my Epi falls into?  That would help relate to sizes when I "shop" on Craigs List, eBay, etc.  I'm doing the C/L and eBay thing because there are VERY few places to shop for guitars in the north woods Wisconsin.

Thanks,

Dean

Thanks Jag......  It looks like I'm looking for a Parlor guitar and that my Epi is a Dreadnought.

The only thing I wasn't able to see in the article on Jumbo/Dreadnought from Vid is the difference between a round shoulder vs square shoulder.

My coach had what was called a "mini-Martin" that I REALLY liked but was out of MY price range.  He recently traded it in on a REAL Martin.

Take Care,

Dean
