what can anyone tell me about this amp? I acquired it in 1992 at a garage sale in Aina Haina, Oahu....    it is in great shape except for the grill cloth. It is the "black face"... not a reissue.

I appreciate the site info... I was an engineer on the road for 30+ years....   always had a guitar around, took informal lessons from the who's who of guitars.... I stopped touring about six years ago and am finally starting to attempt to play with some vague association to song construction and theory. I consider myself a novice in theory and generally stupid.... I have acquired a number of sweet guitars and know that they deserve to be played... so I am finally home long enough to actually take this somewhat seriously. This site seemed a useful tool.

...I've owned three Fender Super Reverb Amps, a blackfaced 1965, a "drip-edge" 1968, and my current amp, a 1969 with factory-installed JBL/D110F's, which has been my "main" amp since Sept 1969...so, the last 40+ years.

...except for their bulk and weight (mine, with JBL's, weighs 98 lbs!), they are great working amps.

...and the DEVIL said: "...yes, but it's a DRY heat!"
