The greats are the greats and you are you.  I'm 50 now, I'd say that's a little late; maybe I should have taken it up to be 17.  Whether or not you become great if you learn to play you'll get much enjoyment out of playing.  I think enjoying what you do and playing for the love of it must be something the'greats' do before they even get near greatness.

I have just been playing 18month and Im 60yrs old so age doesnt stop you learning I get great satisfaction from learning and being able to play the odd tune It depends what your goals are I just want to enjoy playing and I really do so good luck and keep on rocking
