hi there i have one of the older rp50's and i really like it. it is an all in one stomp box really nice for home use. i found mine on ebay for next to nothing.
since i have had it i have put a lot of my old effects to rest as the amount of batteries and wall warts it takes to keep them going can really add up.
if my calculations are correct SLINKY + ESCULATOR = EVERLASTING FUN

dan the man that is impressive amp and all them nice boss pedals
boss makes the good stuff its a fight on ebay to get used boss
pedals just as good as new.
i run a boss metal zone, tu2 chromatic tuner and roctron nitro clean
boost pedal. don't thinks i could handle anymore. but mostly i found
the order is important cause my tuner is also a mute. which bypass
the signal so i can tune with out any noise and leave my distortion on
but if my distortion pedal is on the wrong side of the tuner you get mad
buzz hum sound.
so order is important but just get pedals with the tone you like

Yeah order is super important. but some pedals are just crapy and don't interact well with others. like that kid in grade school who you might have suspected of being a little intellectually challenged but noone said anything. Just pick the ones you like is the best way to go. Try not to cheap out if can.

dido cheap pedals usually dont end well
and in most guitar shops they have pedal
boards set up you can try. and the boss pedal
company has a killer interactive site i just got play
with the pedals on line and it show setting cause
when i get a new pedal im not sure all it can do but that
site helps a ton

ive been looking at effects and discovered boss multi-effects pedals. they sound like the real pedals, but all in 1 instead of the near 100 pedals you would need to get the same sound. i was drawn to the boss gt-6. not quite as good (but close) as the gt-10, but also $350 cheaper. anyone own one?
oh yeah and i traded my behringer fx 600 for some lessons and im selling my pedals. right now, i own:
boss turbo overdrive
boss distortion
danelectro fab tone
danelectro fab chorus
digitech rp80
i dont like the sound of the rp80. its just too digital for me. but what can u expect with a company called "digitech"? my friend gave me it. another friend gave me the chorus.

Hey, the things you really need to know isnt that you need a bunch of pedals to get your sound, instead start with the bare essentials (distortions, boosts, reverb/delay, maybe modulations) and work around that. I've got the Ibanez ts9, Boss dd7, and Electro Harmonix lpb1 in that order, and i've been getting some good compliments on my tone. So what im trying to say is don't over emphasize your effects by getting a bunch of them (unless you REALLY need them) but build something with quality even though it wont get you too many effects. Also, i wouldn't go with multi effects just cause they don't let you fine tune your sound like regular stomp boxes. So go with real pedals and if you can get analog sounding effects cause they give you a more natural sound than digital (although i do enjoy the sound of some digital effects)
