I can't figure out how to identify chords I use but can't find on the chart. Would these be custom chords? How do I enter a custom chord to find out if it has a name? I'd sure appreciate suggestions. Thanks - Costa Rica Bird

hi good question. it is easy just move the dots on the fret board(also notice there are spare dots to the left one for each sting and the circles at the nut areimportant also to mute strings that are not played.) and when you do there will be a search option that pops up and you can hit that button and it will gove you a chord name if there is one in most cases (note absolutely all chord are available but almost all). be sure to use the X function at the nut of the guitar graphic to lock out strings that are not used in your "chord" alos note that once you find a chord name you can enter it into the chord generator and find all of the inversions available for the chord you just found! (maybe easier or have a better voicing for your purpose)

Thanks Cricketrider. It IS easy...once you know how
I'm a self taught guitar player going back many years and I've always been and still am very light on theory and technical stuff...very light. Anyway, my mystery chord involved a two fingers on the second fret...on one the lo E string and one on the G string. Lo and behold, the mystery chord turned out to be a simple Dmaj...just an octave? below where I normally play it. Thanks again. - Gerry
