If I want to strive to be a musician and be in a band, is it OK to do gigs and practice with a full band if I'm still learning music? I don't have very much prior knowledge to anything short of TAB and EGBDF (FACE for the spaces) such as how time signatures work. We sound pretty good, but then again, the rejects of American Idol think they sound good too. . . smile

yeah man when you get together with other
musicians you instantly add there knowledge and
experience to your owe. watching what and how they do
things helps you learn. and get a feel and ear for things.

i always feel that people are way better then me and im trying to catch
up so when i was in college i would take my guitar out when i was between classes
and fumble through the chords and songs i knew and people
would join me and show me cool tricks or riffs and play a song for me
and it helped me

at least my mom thinks i play good
