I think its really simple and I dont know how to help lol.....not meaning any disrespect I just like more poetic lyrics .... or lyrics that are so awefull they are amazing like...

Idk. I think it's pretty good. But then again, I can relate to the subject it's about so I might have a Biased opinion.

i think it is a little forced no pun intended
maybe something like

when you cry at night
parent are supposed to hold you
tight instead they fight
and the belt it bites
when i do whats right
and the hand its stings
and so one something that brings the emotions of the listener to your plight
to help people who are mistreated and abused a song can make all the difference
take the saddest movie put it in watch all the sad parts on mute
with no sound and i doubt you will shed a tear cause the music melts your heart
makes you understand
