Hey folks,  Just wondering if anyone here has been where I am now.  A couple of years ago I messed up both hands pretty good ( as in nasty broken bones, scarring and etc.).  So to avoid boring everyone with the whole thing I'll simply ask the question.  I still wanna make that ole Strat howl.  I can handle the basic and minor things but barring a chord (even trying to) hurts like hell.  If anyone else has been through this, I would like to see how they overcame it.  At this point I play with the pain, not as well as I would like but it is a start.  I didn't do all that darn therapy to play the doggone drums thats for sure.  Thanks in advance if you have any advice.

Hi Peter, thats sounds pretty hard going,

I've heard of iyengar yoga being helpful for violin/string players with hand/wrist problems (http://www.stringsmagazine.com/issues/s … Mus90.html). Iyengar yoga is more physical than other types and may be worth finding a good local teacher for advice on the subject.

all the best

Excellent thought Strat.  There is a Yoga Studio not all that far from my home.  I will inquire about this technique.
It sounds like it may provide further improvement and is definitely worth looking into.  Thanks for your reply.
