My pro young friends will be very happy.  In childhood I damaged my brain in a terrible 2 story fall.  I cannot coordinate and use both hands, typing, or piano or guitar.  One hand will freeze up.  But I have been lead singer for thousands of performances in several genres including classical.   But I never tried songwriting because I just learned to be good at sight reading the vocal line.  I filled in directing a concert of the Messiah once just because I have every note commited to memory. But never had tried to write what I hear in my head.

In the early 90's I wrote my first song.  Now kinda well known to some people, for my near death young daughter.  That recording opened up late in my life (63) a flood of songs.  I use BIAB to do crude midi demos to sing too.  My pro helpers use those to help me make better demos.  "Ronnie it sure would help if you could write guitar chords"  I just fooled around with that chord finder and then sang the vocal to my Red Shoes a Dancing.  I cried.  It is a complex song.  I quickly found the the chords in my head AND I could see finger placement so I used the easier to play chords that worked against my vocal.

I was in a panic. I sent a very famous singer my lyrics almost 2 weeks ago . Five days later I was astonished to get an email.  He wants a demo sooo I am crashing a demo.  He is going to do a concert an hour from me in 74 days.  I wanted to arrange it into chords, make a crude demo.  Share it then with local pro's including my lyric lead sheets with usable chords, record something better, and get it into his personal mgrs hand all in a month.

This site will help me amazingly.  I was thrilled to listen to chords I know by ear and for the first time SEE THEM PLAYED and see how to notate them.  My library is over 5,000 recordings. I can sing every one.  So I know the SOUND of hundreds of rifts I really like and the chords that famously MAKE great popular recordings.  I was literally running to a Beatles song to borrow a chord here or there, then Brian Wilson, then Terry who wrote American Trilogy and many more. Orbison etc.  Now I will for the first time in my life REALLY learn them.

I will bring more than 200 lyrics and melodies in my head to life .

Thank you sooooooo much for all the hard work that went t into this site.  Words cannt convey how excited I am.

Notice the chat and come visit if you like. Glad all get out that you were able to 'put down in writing what was in your mind' so to speak. When you get caught up with the work you're doing for the famous person, we wouldn't mind seeing some of your work perhaps posted on youtube maybe.

G-Z - thanks very much.  I have only two very professional sounding recordings.  A full vo;unteer pro band local studio version of Sarah's Song.
And a buddy and I multi tracked a song KISS HER GOODNIGHT.

Someone sent Bob Katz a tape of them.  He called me on the phone.  He had me come to his amazing studio,  He is a very nice man.  He worked an entire day on them - through his 6 mil board.  He then said, he heard added chimes for o"SS" all wrong. I said I wanted a patio wind chumes sound - random but really like very subtle God was playing along.  He repitched and moved notes.  Its there in the background. But almost un noticed its random harmony. LOL

On KHG he said he heard all the hard work, but something was missing, WHY?.  I told him my volunteer thought it too much.  I sang it and he inmmed added it.  Then he had me add my vocal.

But what I am is a lyricist.  And a melody writer.  200 plus gooduns.  Now whats in my head that I hear I now can write down quickly.  I will learn all I can on this site.  Local pros help me a lot but they just do not understand that I can hear all these complex parts complete in my head but only one hand will work.  Before I would literally sing each instrument including percussion so players knew what I wanted.  Being on here is going to be a blessing.  And I see the dedication and kindness everywhere.

As they say.  Its all about the music man!!!
