stopped by my local guitar center yesterday to pick something up and saw the s6 folk- very nice- just like the s6 original but with a thinner waist- nice warm tones- i like the natural wood look without the glossy finish- can you have a pickguard applied if you choose to later?-- james

Hey James,
You should research the makers site (if they have one) or check with the folks at the Guitar Center to see if that is an option....

James , here is a great site for Seagull guitars called Guitarflock.. Sign up if you have not already. Lots of great info there specific to your Seagull.
Great choice by the way.. Congrats on getting the Seagull! I am just loving mine since I had it fixed!!
This link is for Pickguards on Guitarflock

Also have a look around on the site and do a search for pickguards.
Here is another Seagull site

Seagull/Godin wont sell you a pickguard, but you can pick one up at any dealer, just bring your guitar and see if the ones they have fit.
You can easily trim these self adheasive pickguards to fit your sound hole or the rosette around your sound hole.
You can get them off Ebay or from Stewmac, guitar center, musicians friend etc. if your local guitar store does not carry them.
Use a little glass cleaner on a rag to polish up where the pickguard sticker is going to go so there are not any oils from your hands to keep it from sticking.
The solid Ceder top is prone to scratches, from just breathing on it , it seems!! So a pickguard is not a bad choice at all! Hope you got a good deal on it!
