I'm getting closer to get my first electric guitar and I obviously need a guitar amplifier, I've recieved few suggestions about wich guitar amp should i buy, my budget is bewteen (200-250:260 max[and maybe maybe maybeeeeeeeeeeeeeee 300]). I'm mainly searching for a bedroom amplifier, maybe for some jam sessions with any friend. I like to play metal altough I only have my acoustic guitar.
I've seen the Roland Cube 30x; a friend told me roland amps were good but he prefer marshalls, according to him they have a better sound. Also I read about a peavey classic 30, it was a tube amp, I heard it and it sounded good but I don't know how much it costs. Should i get a higher watt amp like a 50w?
I want to ask too how much a distorion medal costs. BTW the electric guitar I want to buy is a jackson js32t i think. Wich guitar amplifiers do you recommend me?
I hope you can help me in this. Thank You.

...if at all possible, bring your guitar to the music store and *play* it through any amplifier you're considering. It's the only way to "hear" what the combination of your guitar and that amp will actually sound like.
...identical-looking guitars (and amps) seldom sound (or play) the same.
...if your amp budget is only $250, don't worry too much, because eventually you'll "...want something more/different..." and you'll move onward (and upward?) to another amplifier. The *goal* of your first amp is to "get you going" not make you a rock star (yet) ha.ha.

Hello Sades, well if you want a bedroom amp, get a 15 watt tube...for example something like a Fender Super Champ XD. It will play low, medium and it will rattle the windows if you need it to. I've got one and i like it a lot. You could go to the Fender site and look it up. You might be surprised at the versatility, size and weight. Big sound, small package and lots of distortion once you find your sound with 16 voices to choose from and then the FX selections, including delay and reverb, couple of my favorites. Any more questions, let us know, we'll try our best to help out.
