how to read tabs ?

Hey guys
i don't know how to read tabs, anyone who would help me ?
i'm a beginner and started e few months ago, but half of the song on the internet is in tabs, and i don't know how to read them.
please answer ?

There are six lines for the six strings on your guitar. The top line is the high e string while the bottom is the low E. The numbers on the lines represent where the string is fretted. If the numbers are stacked on one another you are to play a chord. If they aren't stacked you are playing individual notes. (like a solo, but there are many other times you can use it. Most of the time h represens a hammer-on and p is a pull-off. v is vibrato. b is bend. /\are slides. but its easy to figure out

I subscribe to Guitar Player and there are arches conecting some numbers. What do the arches represent? I haven't been able to figure it out.

Arches normally represent one finger covering several strings, such as in a barre chord.
