I just bought a jet city 100h and a 2 12's cab. This is my first tube amp, My question is how do I hook up the amp to the cab? 16 or 8ohms ? 1 wire or 2? and also mono or stereo? the amp has 2 plugs for 4 and 8 ohms and 1 plug for 16ohms. The cab has 2 plugs R&L 16ohm and also the left one say's 8ohm's also a switch for stereo or mono. Please help me out .

Welcome to chordbook themayor. Though the user 'Jag' is the one that will have the answers for you, and he'll take a look in here later and prolly answer, i'll suggest you get with the maker of the units and ask them. With what you've mentioned, i'm presuming you've bought used gear that didn't come with a manual, but i would imagine those could be had at the makers web site. Try that maybe and meantime, be patient and jag will be along.

I bought this new. It did come with the manual, but after I read it I was more confused. So I called jet city and he told me 1 cord 8ohms head to cab, BUT the cab head has 2 8ohm inputs and the cab 1. So I e-mailed jetcity support, they e-mailed me back,the e-mail said 1 chord 16ohms. So I got two diff. answers from the same company. I don't want to screw this amp up, this is my first tube amp not to mention the money.

re: amp connections....

Connect patch cord to the 8 ohm mono amp output.

Connect other end of patch cord to 8 ohm mono input of the cabinet.

Set the switch to "mono"
