I would be eternally grateful if someone could point me in the right direction of the actual chords that Glen Kuykendall is playing in the blues song in this video. Whilst the whole 5 minute video is worth watching, the blues song comes in 2 minutes 8 seconds into the video. I am sure that it is a standard blues progression but would be most interested if anyone could help me out with some of the chords.

Many thanks in advance,

I checked the video out Mike and I wish I could help you properly. What I think I'd try is to find out the name of the blues portion of the video and then look for Mr. Kuykendall tabs at the various tab sites. Either that or I noticed a 'my space' notation so I'm supposing you could email Glenn. I'm a beginner so I don't want to get you headed out in the wrong direction but that's a good blues progression and I wouldn't mind knowing myself so I could try it. Let us know if you find something.

Many thanks for the response Guitar Zen, I will persevere to see if I can find anything. As you suggest perhaps the easiest thing would be to e-mail Glenn, I'll get back to you if I can come up with anything,

Guitar Zen, I have had a reply back from Glen.He has apparently got part of the tab done for this song and I think that he would probably post what he has of the tab if there were enough people interested. I am going to start another thread under a different heading to see if I can get a few more people interested. I will keep you updated if I get any further information,

...it's just a blues progression in key of E, with some very nice use of chords and intersparsed lead work.
...try using this "movable" blues shuffle progression (shown at E-chord position):
...simply play the same chord "shapes and movement" up the neck at the A- and B-positions on the neck.
...and, here's a "run down" that can be used as a 'turnaround' or as an 'ending':

Many thanks for that Old Tele Man, I,ll give it a try, I was kinda hoping that you would have a look at it. I'm ok with the interspersed lead bits, it was just the particular chords he was using in the progression that I was interested in. I'm no expert and was struggling to figure it out. This has now given me a good starting point.
Many thanks again for your help,

You're welcome Mike and I was glad OTM checked in on this for you..now you have the 'goods'...thanks for the update too.
I gave the blues progression and turnaround a feeble attempt at first but kinda got something going with it after a while. I have a feeling there would be a lot of picking mixed in with a rhythm and or melody strumming.
