Hello, I recently bought the mustang II fender amp. I just started playing the guitar, and I can't find some blues settings. Can someone help me?

Hello Jimmorrison, welcome to chordbook. Well i went to fender.com and looked up your amp and i have to say i'm going to have to have a look at one of those at my music store. It just might be what i'm looking for.

As far as 'blutes settings', i didn't find anything in the Mustang II info that said there was a setting that said 'blues'. It would help if we knew what sound/artist you're looking to dial in though, so let us know. Other than that, you might try a setting that's slightly distorted, add some reverb and in general, just try little settings changes until you 'find what you're looking for', so to speak. I did notice that there were presets, so don't forget to explore those. I was hoping there was a saxaphone setting but i din't see one. Other members here may chime in with info on 'blues settings' so hang in there Jimmorrison !

How much does the Mustang II weigh i wonder. I couldn't find that in the specs at fender.com.

Thank you very much. Yes, you are right, maybe I should explore a little more the capabilities of my amp. I wanted a sound similar to B.B king. Anyway, thank you again

P.S: To answer your question, it weights about 9.5 kilos

So about 31 lbs...not bad for 40 watts with a 12" speaker ! Ok, for BB King i'd think you'd want what is referred to as a 'clean' sound but with some reverb...play with that and maybe some delay or both...when i got my Fender Super Champ XD for practice, it was my first amp other than my acoustic amp. I knew nothing but with the presets and the other settings, it din't take long to 'find what i was looking for'. Created my own setup for the first 7 notes of 'Layla' and later i created the setup for ZZ's 'La Grange' intro about up to where the drummer comes in big. To me the sky is the limit with some experimentation and a decent amp. What sort of guitar are you running through the Marshall Jimmorison?

Luck !

my favorite guitar is a cheap SG by s101 that i broke the neck on and put a new one in its place. took it out to a jam session last night and it performed great our old friend bobo plays a squire better than most guys play thier american strat.

my point being if the guitar is set up right it really dosn't matter what emblem is on the headstock and more importantly its like a gun a taurus wil knock you just as dead as a smith and wesson for about half the price. (the real music comes from your finger tips) not the axe.

Every rule has an exception. Especially this one.
if my calculations are correct SLINKY + ESCULATOR = EVERLASTING FUN
