Hi all...I am new to the site. I have been playing guitar off and on for nearly 20+ years.....which surprises me that I am not better than I am at guitar playing. Just goes to show that "practice..practice..practice makes all the difference in how good you play.
I have been told that I play really well, but I think that is because throughout the years I have pretty much learned tunes and practiced the crap outta them, and now I know those same tunes so well that it sounds like I really know what I am doing!!!
I know all of my basic chords ie ABCDEFG etc, and I understand how basically  the chords are made from the scales. I also understand how all the notes are layed out on the fretboard, I have to think about it sometimes but I know where all the notes are on fretboard.
I have never had an understanding of how the scales are incorporated into the rhythm, but I am working on it still....it's very confusing to me....Hopefully I can dig in this forum for some info sometime to get me going on it....Just wanted to say hi to one and all...

Hey LackLustre, I missed your post somehow...so the best posting for what you need I think is "Fundamentals of Music Theory 101" by Old Tele man which you will find in "Chordbook Main Forum". Go backwards a page from the current set of posts and you should have no prob finding it. Lots of great info contained therein !
