Hi, this will probably sound crazy to some of you out there however, it's really winding me up trying to find out what scales i should be learning as a beginner. I am in the process of learning the completre fret board but what next? Major scales, minor scales? Both? Which one first? Major Pentatonic? Minor Pentatonic? Both? What first? Please can somebody tell me what scales i should be learning and in what order to learn them? Regards, Andy

...depends mostly upon YOU and what kind of music you wanna play.

If blues, then (obviously) the Major and minor pentatonics scales would be most useful to learn.

If jazz, then ALL scales.

If Rock-n-Roll, then probably just the Major (Ionian) and Dominant (Mixolodian) scales will do.
