...sorta depends upon the type/style of music that you're interested in:

FLAMENCO = large, acoustic hollow-body with nylon strings

ROCK-n-ROLL(a) = solid body with 2 or 3 pickups and round steel strings

ROCK-n-ROLL(B) = semi-hollow with 2 pickups and round or ground-wound steel strings

JAZZ = large, hollow-body with neck pickup and flatwound strings

...etc.

One that fits your hands, feels comfortable and as Old tele man says, goes with the type music you are going to be playing. Too many people buy guitars that are too big, too small or just don't fit. Get one that feels good and you know you can play.

it really depends on your style...If you are more into heavier styles you should go with the Modern Standard of the Ibanez RG....model number not sure of as I dont own one and dont really follow ibanez that much. Maybe an ESP they are good as well....Or a jackson or Kramer.....I dont suggest BC rich they are just too freaken heavy......Oh another one just came to mind Dean makes incredible guitars....

The best guitar I have ever played at least for me was a Hamer....I dont know the model or anything just that it was a hamer....it had a h - s pickup scheme which suites my style very well...played great sounded even better...

there are alot of great guitars without being like everyone slese and buying a strat or an sg

The Hardest part of letting go.....
