I previously posted this message to general discussion and then realized it should have been posted under gear and equipment.

I have a jam vox that is giving static when I try to extract segments out of a CD.  As well, the extracgted segment comes through more than I think it should.  It is removed, but traces still remain to be played over.

any help would be appreciated

I wish I knew NYjm, so this won't help much, but I'd contact Vox right away...

Cheers,

Thanks Gzen,

I have been playing around with the soft ware.... reading the manual..... tweeking it here and there and it is getting better.  I think the problem is my inadequacy and not the program's problems or the hardware.

It looks like it will ba a great practice tool.  As well recording back up and playing lead is very simple to do.

Way to go NYjm, I'll have to try one of the jam vox units should they have them at one of my music stores...does sound like a useful practice tool. One of my music stores lets me sign stuff out to try. Nice to be trusted like that and of course it pays off for the music store since twice now I've bought the units they let me take home to try. Not a bad idea to ask a music store that I think...the worst they could say is no.
