if you want a metal guitar go for an esp

I would submit that while yes, ESP does make some nice guitars that are well suited for metal, there are others out there.

The preferences of the player have a lot to do with it. For example the shape of the neck or the style of the guitar.

For my part I played a custom KH and didn't like it. I don't like standard body guitars in the first place (Save perhaps for ESP F series and Ibanez S series) and this one was just plain uncomfortable. Give me a V any day.

For what it's worth also, the build quality on my B.C. Rich is every bit as good as that of my twice-as-expensive ESP LTD. The fretboard even seems to be cut from a higher quality stock. Both have metal down to a science.

i wouldn't mind one of them, although i'd like a Dean too.
