Hey guys. Im kinda new to guitar and im in need of some help.

I was looking at some chords on ultimate-guitar.com and i was looking at the chords here and they turned out different.

for example:

on ultimate guitar an E5 is:

0 2 X X X 0

but on chordbook an E5 is like this:

0 2 2 X X X

so which one is right??? or are they both right?

heres the list of chords im looking at:

http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/lessons/ … hords.html

im just confused cause im trying to learn chord theory and im trying to decide which reference is correct.

If you compare all the chords from both sites, alot of chords differ from each site.

Of course some of them are the same also.

Thanks!

Welcome to the board weslay, the short answer is that they're both the same chord with different fingering. You're going to find different fingerings for chords when you travel net and look at chord
charts. If you need more info on the E5, feel free to ask and someone will help you out. Have fun here...oh and chordbook may have the only guitar chatroom you'll find also.
