I'm looking for a guitar that is durable for camping and hiking.
A guitar that is easy to carry in a backpack.

I have no experience with those type of guitars. I did, however google search "travel guitar" and discovered that most brands have a "travel guitar" model. I saw a "Baby Taylor Travel Guitar", Washburn has a travel model, Ovation makes one, so does Martin.
Then I googled "acoustic travel guitar" and found a bunch more.

I have a Martin Backpacker acoustic travel guitar. It's not bad, very compact but you sacrifice alot of tone and sound quality BUT you have the advantage of taking a guitar when you travel or go camping or whatever. the sound is very shallow but with good high quality strings it sounds better, I use Elixir acoustic strings on it..
They do also have a model that has a pickup and electronics in it, my brother has that one. When he plugs it into an amp it sounds good, not great.. much better than it does unplugged.
I take mine when we go on trips or go to the races up here in Loudon N.H. when we camp out. It's a real space saver, a regular size acoustic in the case is much too big. For the money and the size and what it's for.. it's a good guitar.
