Thanks once again OTM, as always you're right there when we need you and it's really good to know that you'll 'bail us out' so to speak when the goin' gets rough !
Bobo, I'm going to crawl way out on a limb here and answer your question and I'm going to say that the absence of sharps and flats in the C scale is why it is also referred to as the 'natural' scale.
I'm fairly confident I have that right but if there's more to it than that I want to know that too.
