is there a tool that i can download so i can find the key of a song that i wrote... like can i input the chords that i use and get the key from there?

Welcome broken1, enjoy your time in chordbook ! I don't know of a download like you speak of but there are charts that will show you what you need to know. Did you google, 'chords within keys' or something like that? I'm nearly certain that if you do you'll find something that will help. Of course learning all the major keys and their respective chords would help too...but I'd say charts would be a good start towards that end too.

Whew!!! It's a good thing I got here before your teacher did GZ, or you'd be in big trouble. Of course there is a tool that does that, the circle of 5ths. Input your chords into it and out comes the key, right?
