Hey there,

I recently bought a Fulltone Fulldrive 2: MOSFET effects pedal.  I read on their website that you can use a 9 volt or 18 volt DC power source as long as it has a negative center pin.

I have heard that using the 18v DC will giving you more sound capabilities (more dynamics). I am somewhat satisfied on the sound now, but want to see this things full capabilities.

I am also wondering because I thought this thing was able to do a little more than what it does (sound wise, it doesn't have a great range of tone or distortion). I was considering a trade in on a Fulltone OCD.

Problem is that I cannot find an 18volt DC with a negative centerpin; even Fulltone doesnt carry one.

Any suggestions?

I know "Radio Shack" used to carry a universal power supply, multiple voltage and reversable polarity..

If they no longer carry that,  then just try a google search.  There has to be something out there.

If your just curious what more you'll get out it with 18 volts,  try a little temperary wiring by putting two 9 volt batteries together in series, thats.......... + from the positve lead on the unit to the + on the first battery, then from the negitive on that battery to the + on the second battery, then from the negitive on the second battery to the negitive lead on the unit.
