Wow, that's a tough call. I'm definitely agreeing with both the line 6 and big honkin tube marshall. I'm just unable to choose between them. Oh WTH I'll go with the big honkin tube marshall, there's a sound that cannot be mistaken.

...I think I already got my 'dream amp' back in the 1969, a Fender Super Reverb with factory-installed JBL/D110F's!

...but, I also have a Line-6 Spider 112 for lugging around to student's homes...much lighter in weight and easier to carry up stairs.

...and the DEVIL said: "...yes, but it's a DRY heat!"

I guess I already have my dream amp. I had always wanted a Peavey 5150 and a few months ago picked up a 6505+. I guess some day I may pick up a Mesa Dual Recto or an Engl. I may change cabs before that, perhaps to something with V30s in it or something oversized (or both). I may even go away from the half stack and pick up a combo. But for now, the dream amp is sitting right over there.

Thanks freak...I'll have to give those a look...I'd remembered OTM has a Line 6 so that got me to thinking about them instead of the Fender Hot  Rod Deville 4x10 which I thought was my dream amp...for the time being anyway...heh....

I personally really dig the sounds of the egnater tourmaster series, and the line six spider valve amps that bogner collaberated with them on.

My Dream Amp? Well, I own it, a Fender Twin Reverb. It is a reissue but this has the 15" speaker in it. The Twin is the best clean amp out there. When I push it with my new Superfuzz pedal it just roars. I also have a small Crate VC20 which is a 15 watt amp that distorts real easily and feeds back to sustain the dirt. Putting those two together in a stereo configuration and I have my setup. But I also want a Fender Super Reverb!

I got my dream amp back in Dec.  I bought an Egnater Rebel 20.   It's a little 20 watter that flat gets the job done.  It pushes a 4x12 cabinet pretty hard.  You can get into the sweet spot tone wise and not have the sound guy bitching that you're to loud.  You can turn the watts setting done to one watt if need be for practicing.  You can swap between or blend the output tubes.  If you haven't looked at one or played through one I recommend at least giving them a look.  All my buddies want mine.  You can go from sparkling clean to tons of distortion.  My band plays metal and the only pedal I use is a tuner.   If you're into tons of bells and whistles it might not be your thing.  It's simple with killer tone.
