First off, no im not exactly a beg. at guitar...im more intermediate at it. The problem is, our new band is still practicing up and we need to know what exactly we need to SOUND like AC/DC for our future performances (mostly school talent show). You may also need to explain to me different sounds the distortions make...because i have never used a distortion pedal b4, but i do know it atleast makes a DIFFERENCE. I do not have my amp with me and i clumsily 4got the name of it, all I know is that it is a Fender...and I dont know if that helps :p. Anyway, thanks 4 ur time and I will try and get the most out of your replies.

And i dont know if this helps either but I can play Back in Black, Thunderstruck (still working on speed and accuracy), T.N.T., High Voltage, Highway to Hell, Hell's Bells, Money Talks (Taught myself that wink and still getting the hang of You Shook Me All Night Long....and I kind of get the chord progression of The Jack....OH and for those about to rock...whew i go through a LONG list heheheheh.

I am not going to try and answer that baband, i will leave that for somebody else more knowledgeable. However, at the top you will see "guitarchat"  while waiting for a reply, you might catch somebody in there who can help ya. Probably with other things as well. We have our a couple of "in-house" soloist among other things in here. There is a heep of experience on these boards and the chat room and just about everybody here is happy to to help a guy out.

Welcome to the "fold",  hope to see ya around. I might need to "bounce" a few things off you too.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and take a guess ... Angus Young's sound is probably Marshall tube stack with the gain at about 75%, no stomp box and about 20% reverb. He's probably using his Gibson SG's bridge pickup with the tone turned all the way down
