Hi TMR3, do you mean as in where those letters stand for or what kind of quality per each point of manufacture?

Cheers,

Oh, ok TMR3, well it goes to quality....for example, the way it looks to me when I look at the MIM opposed to the MIJ and the MIC same model/type product, the MIM is much better overall than let's say the MIJ but it looks like the MIJ is better overall than the MIC...though sometimes they look pretty much alike except for the MIM...since it's not far from there to the California factory...I mean that might have something to do with it.

Price wise the MIM will be more than the MIJ and the MIJ will be more money than the MIC...usually....now I'm using Fender Strats as my example. The MIM's are still called Fenders but I'm pretty sure the MIJ's and the MIC's are called Squiers. I've seen all of them and I have to say you get what you pay for in that arena. Hope this helps TMR3.

I maybe wrong but with the possible exception of Fenders, made in japan are prolly far and above better products than MIM. However, Squiers stopped being MIJ back in early 90's so if you found MIJ fender gits, then again they are prolly superior to MIM. I think Fender quit making guitars in japan prolly after NAFTA when they decided to make american standards as high quality product and MIM as low. Low budget Squiers have also been made in korea. Japan is a nation of skilled workers and most products coming out of there nowadays are prolly pricey and of excellent quality.
