Whats up everyone.... Just wanted to give a brief intro here before I started posting help/suggestion questions... Im originally a drummer, but havent in years and have been playing Guitar for a month now and am loving it! Well loving it isnt really the word, more like obsessed with it... =P
I own 2 Electric Ibanez, a GiO and RG Series and an Emperador Acoustic Guitar. I got extremely lucky and had the RG and Emperador basically handed to me last week! Anyways I am trying to do this thing *right* this time... I picked up a Guitar when I was 15 and went the wrong way by buying a bunch of Guitar World magazines and learning the intros to songs with no real fundamentals.. So I have no teacher except myself right now! I play mostly classic heavy rock/grunge and am desperately trying to incoroporate some bottleneck slide for learning a lot of blues techniques.... One thing I am confused about is ALL this learning material all over the Internet!! I am trying to narrow it down to a select few learning sites that are good and accurate and was hoping I could maybe get some suggestions for that.... I guess in my "beginners" phase right now, I am working on learning all the chords, scales and veering off probably too much and learning a lot of guitar tablature with Power Tab and Guitar Pro 5.... This forum seems like the best & most helpful for learning and some really cool people!! Anyways, it's 9:00A.M. in East Texas and I havent had my morning dose of playing yet!!!!
