You can't beat Alabama nor The Eagles for their pure musical talent.  Their harmonies are simply unbeatable.  And, they both have stood the test of time.

Dean,

two other bands come to mind as far as harmonies go..

1- The Mamas and Papas (music was done by session guys) but great harmonies for 4 voices.

2- Toto. This band was made up of various session musicians. Very strong harmonies as well.

Yea, gotta go with dean. Not my favorite, but defintely best song arrangement is by the eagles. Favorite would have to be Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, or Metallica. Depending on when you ask me.

Unlike me though...heh, heh....oh and I have 'Houses Of The Holy' in wax too. The cd's will make great Christmas presents maybe.

Mine are probably Rush, Ted Nugent, and UFO. Obviously, I can't just have one favorite. wink

EDIT: Forgot about SRV&DB (Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble)

I still have all my 60's, and 70's albums on vinyl, and alot of 8 tracks too.

That includes the whole beatles collection, un-opened., and 2 copies of Hotel...,
and about 500 others.

Hey 69Jaguar:  I have some hardware/software that I'm using to convert all my old 60s/70s "platters" and cassettes to digital on my computer.  Then I can either burn a CD or sync it to my iPod.  It works great.  As a retired engineer, I still enjoy technology at 60.

When talking about harmonizing one group that gets left ut is The Gatlin Brothers , There vocal harmonies were ten times better than most even Alabama and i say that being a big Alabama fan......

But since thats not the topic its hard to narrow down my Fav so i guess it will haf to be the Waylon Jennings and the Waymore Blues band ......B4 and after breakup ...I just really Like Waylon....

Why be NORMAL when you can be yourself......  Conflicted Country!!!!!!
