There may be more entertaining/flashy bands out there, but for musical tallent I have to go with The Eagles and Alabama. The Gatlin Brothers Band was great for harmony, but their music was very much the same throughout the years. The Eagles evolved with the times.

Yep thats wat was great about the Gatlin Brothers band they stayed exactly what they were and didnt try to change to please everybody else. The eagles were a great band yes but in my opinion they were sell outs to the musical wheel so to speak same as alabama Thats the reason alabama split apart thay were tired of pleasing everybody else and not being happy about there music...
Sorry i hate to rant but thats the thing about mainstream music the artist dont have a choice , and i speak from exsperiance....

Good point. the Gatlins DID stay true to their music. There's alot to be said for that. Don Henley even went out on his own for awhile before getting back with The Eagles. I think he found that he needed the rest of the group to be successful in the main stream.
You have to admire the people that stay with their own stuff and DON'T give in to the main stream. As long as you can "put food on the tabe" and make a living.

Favorite Band for me depends on what I want to listen to. Blues, rock, Jazz, or country. the whole spectrum is what I'm feeling, what and who I want to listen to.I like so many in each style that it's hard for me to really make a choice. I guess you could say I like music.....
