hey guys,
recently my headstock (the tip of the headpiece) on my ibanez took an accidental bump against the table corner, and now its chipped!! its still new, the guitar, like 1 or 2 months, so this has kinda saddened me. sad
its only minor damage....really minor....nothing too serious...but still i am asking, on guitars with bolt-on necks, such as mine, the fretboard CAN be replaced, right? how much do fretboards cost? are they available at Sam Ash and Guitar Center's?? what will the total charge be like? any idea? sad
please...help me...

Hmm....Is your guitar exspensive or a low budget guitar if it was only like 200 bucks u can most likely get a new guitar cheaper......Necks and fretboards are exspensive ........

just a chip ?  Don't worry about it. If you play it a lot, it will be the first of many. It's going to happen.  It will acquire scratches too from when you get a little over zealous with your picking/strumming. (like when ya get your groove going)

Just look at Stevie Ray Vaughan's git.

Fender makes a series of "Road Worn" Tele's and Strat's that come brand new looking "beat up". People actually buy them that way. (not the one above though, that's beat up from actual use)

Willie Nelson's git:

...tongue-in-cheek response: "...don't think of it as a CHIP, but rather as a CHARACTER marque..." (wink, wink)

...and the DEVIL said: "...yes, but it's a DRY heat!"
